Bianca Gonalez - Co-founder and CEO of AMPAWorks
The pandemic exposed the fragility of our current healthcare system. Medical supply shortages, outdated inventory systems, and crews of overworked frontline workers. Operating at the intersection of medicine, supply chain management, and artificial intelligence, AMPAworks leverages computer vision to assist clinics in managing medical supplies.
The face behind the magic is former nurse practitioner, ex-Wharton MBA, and current MS in Computer Science student at Georgia Tech, Bianca Gonalez from Cohort #12. She is spearheading a team with the mission to modernize hospitals to become more efficient and resilient. By automating the inventory tracking and re-ordering process, AMPAworks aims to alleviate the healthcare system by overcoming their operational challenges with technology. Physicians are empowered to dedicate more time to patient care, which alleviates pressure of the healthcare system thus providing a higher quality of service.
AMPAworks’ award-winning technology has been recognized by HIMSS Healthcare, the American Nurses Association, the Los Angeles Business Journal, and The University of Pennsylvania. Last week, Bianca and her team pitched at 43North, and received $1M in funding.
Big kudos to Bianca and her team, they’re just getting started! Here’s what Bianca has to say about the RippleX Fellowship.
"The fellowship helped me as a founder to understand how investment decisions are made and took the mystery out of venture capital."
