The Next Chapter of RippleX
A platform & community for ambitious founders, built to support you across ideation, team formation, customers & more.
What We’ve Learned
When we started RippleX in 2019, we launched it as a virtual program for students interested in startups and VC. We wanted to fill a gap for students at schools that didn’t have the resources or communities of larger institutions. Over the years, we iterated from small cohorts to larger ones, added an online course, launched our founder fellowship program, and invested in many founders through RippleX.
After five years of running RippleX, we’ve learned a few crucial things:
Best-in-class entrepreneurs don’t need structured programs and timelines to succeed.
Standard deals aren’t always aligned with founders and companies.
The most impactful part of RippleX was our community, not our programming.
Our New Mission
We’re going back to our core: supporting highly ambitious people solving big, important problems and helping them change their arc of success within an inclusive, high-merit community.
This isn’t about running another accelerator. It’s about building something that provides value to ambitious entrepreneurs no matter what stage they’re at, extending that relationship beyond a set 3–4 months into however long it makes sense.
The Next Chapter of RippleX
We’ve launched our new website that covers our main offerings:
Dwell and Swell: Our IRL coworking community that’s become the entry point for founders to get to know each other. We’ve engaged 150+ founders across our core hubs in Toronto and Vancouver, with expansion planned for Waterloo, Montreal, and Calgary. It’s not just a venue — it’s about what happens after. Founders ship and support each other weekly, creating friendships and co-founder matches.
RippleX Studio: We are incubating companies around key themes we’re curious about, in both legacy and frontier markets. We will bring ideas and work with founders to fine-tune them, providing both capital and customers from day zero.
Tank Talks: Our weekly podcast hosted by Matt Cohen, delivering candid conversations with founders, investors, and operators across the startup ecosystem. Focused on real-world strategies and unfiltered insights, the show dives into the hard truths of building and scaling companies — covering topics from fundraising and product-market fit to leadership and frontier tech.
Corporate Partnerships: We’re building a corporate partnership engine that connects ambitious founders with real-world problems and early customers from day one. By leveraging our network of industry leaders, enterprise partners, and domain-specific operators, we help surface pressing challenges in legacy sectors and create structured pathways for co-development, pilots, and distribution.
A Different Approach
Not time-bound. We engage when and where it matters.
Not one-size-fits-all. First-time builders and serial founders need different things — we accommodate both.
Not transactional. We support you whether or not we’re your first check.
Not rigid. Our terms and involvement flex with your stage and needs.
Who We’re Looking For
We want ambitious builders and entrepreneurs who are:
Problem-obsessed domain experts
Technical engineers and hackers
First-principle thinkers
Open to students, operators, founders, scientists, and researchers
Most importantly, we’re looking for people committed to showing up, contributing to the community, working on something meaningful, shipping fast, asking for help, and bringing open-mindedness with naive optimism.
Why This Matters
The energy we’re bringing back feels like the early days — co-work, then hang out and build bonds. It’s about creating a self-selecting community of people who want to hustle and win, with an engine that helps companies fail fast and pivot quickly.
We’re not trying to be another accelerator in a crowded market. We’re building something that recognizes how founders build today, with flexibility, community, and long-term relationships that extend far beyond a demo day.
The best part? Over the past months, we’ve been building this new RippleX community in stealth, and the results speak for themselves. Live demos of new tools, peer feedback, Series A+ founders dropping in to give back, and authentic relationships forming that change trajectories.
Build with us. The future of founder support isn’t about fitting into someone else’s program — it’s about finding your community and building something meaningful together.
